Carnival Corporation have formed a joint venture with China State Shipbuilding Corporation, CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, and are due to launch a mix of refurbished and newbuild vessels. This partnership reinforces Carnival Corporation’s dedication to serving the growing Chinese cruise market. This joint venture also finalizes the previously announced agreement for the world’s first two new cruise ships to be built in China for the Chinese cruise market, the first of which will be delivered in 2023.
