Galley space is the most constrained space on any ship, and it never stays still. Menus, service styles, and guest numbers shift by the hour, yet fixed equipment cannot move with them, and space locked into a single use is space lost.

The livecookintable® modular system answers this with one architecture. Each mobile table carries three to five interchangeable slots that accept induction, hot and cold holding, hot plates, or plain worktops, so a single unit becomes a live buffet, a cooking station, a carving point, or a dessert display, then resets for the next service. Devices swap tool-free, in minutes, by one person.

Two things matter at sea in particular. First, flow. Because the tables are modular and mobile, one station can split into two service points on opposite sides of a venue, easing crowd flow and cutting queues when passenger numbers peak, so a galley team can match service to the guest count on board that day. Second, footprint. The whole system breaks down into carry bags on a trolley and redeploys anywhere on the ship, from a main restaurant to a pool deck or an open-air expedition space, with battery-powered induction and mobile air filtration so cooking and buffet can move into guest-facing rooms. When service ends, the tables flat-pack and reclaim up to 60% of the floor that fixed equipment would hold.

Because these stations stand in full guest view, tabletops and claddings come in a variety of finishes that match the room, and can be made bespoke. For an elite yacht project, a custom blue eco-leather cladding was sourced in a shade drawn from the brand’s own brand design language, so the station read as part of the interior.

The system also keeps improving, and every extension fits the same slots. Filtration now comes as a compact module that drops in like a cooking device, and further add-ons include an overhead canopy with lighting, menu-display monitors, and heat lamps, each fitting the same table without redesign.

The system comes in three table lines, MOOVE, Professional, and Multitable, all built on the same platform, so a single parts pool serves the whole fleet and a worn part is replaced rather than the whole unit. It is in service across more than twenty ships and multiple cruise lines in both river and ocean operations, proof it holds up to the motion, humidity, and relentless service of life at sea.
