On board the NCL Aqua, the third ship of the “Leonardo Project” series built by Fincantieri for Norwegian Cruise Line, the SPA stands out as one of the most fascinating and spectacular spaces.
Spread across two decks and covering about 2,000 square meters, it welcomes guests into an exclusive environment where design meets well-being. At the heart of the space is a stunning vertical water wall, 20 meters long and 5 meters high, flowing like a real waterfall – an absolute first in the world of cruise ships.
The decision to create not just a decorative fountain but a true water wall delivers a striking effect: upon entering, guests are immediately captivated by the contrast between the dramatic presence of the feature and the gentle, soothing sound of flowing water.
The structure is made even more extraordinary by the technical complexity required to keep it stable at sea: glass panels weighing 150 kilograms each must withstand the ship’s constant movements, a feat made possible through advanced engineering solutions.
The NCL Aqua’s SPA is not just a place for relaxation, but also a true symbol of innovation and prestige, capable of transforming a moment on board into an experience of wonder.
