The Compass Rose is a signature space on all of Regent’s ships and Studio DADO outdid themselves on Grandeur. Far more than a dining room, it is a transformative space of fantasy with a magical sense of wonder. Flanked by the Grandeur Lounge and the casino, the Compass Rose feels like an enchanted forest with a stunning screen element at the entrance that suggests the graceful shape of a waterfall.
Inside, glittering, stylized piers give the effect of dining under a canopy of twinkling trees. The intricately laid, abstract leaf pattern on the marble floors usher guests through the nature- inspired space. Fiberoptics are used to maximum effect—by day, the outboard walls are clad in floor-to-ceiling glass. At night, the embedded lights within the glass make the room feel as though it has disappeared into a starry night. Hand-painted glass murals mark the edge of the “forest,” while marble textures and back-illuminated onyx flow through the space to add to the magical, sophisticated charm.
