Ready to bring the heat but skip the flames?

At Baumann Dekor (established in 1916), over 100 years of expertise in producing flame-retardant textiles for hospitality and cruise industry have shaped our approach to creativity, innovation, safety, and sustainability.
This was the foundation for Collection Corinna, a unique and first-of-its-kind collection of 100% Inherently Flame-Retardant (IFR) embroideries, wherein both fabric base and surface embroidery yarns are inherently flame-retardant. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only producers of inherently flame-retardant embroidery fabrics in the world. On your next cruise trip, look out for our IFR embroideries adorning cruise interiors!

Embroidery breathes richness, texture, and life into interiors, but regular embroideries were not IMO compliant and thus the cruise industry could never use this exquisite embellishment. After extensive in-house research and development, multiple trials and refinements, we are proud to introduce Corinna – the union of beauty and performance, bringing bold artistic impact to hospitality interiors while meeting the toughest safety standards. A functional showstopper, Corinna combines diverse advanced embroidery techniques, vibrant color, and sophisticated design with lifelong fire resistance. The collection offers a diverse range of 12 unique stock designs, from Caribbean inspired foliage and organic forms to bold geometrics and contemporary abstracts, providing versatile options to complement different interior styles and design intents.
Why the cruise sector? Cruise interiors are designed to create unforgettable immersive experiences, with bright colors, dramatic patterns, and vibrant textures – an ideal canvas for creative exploration, yet one demanding the highest standards of durability, fire safety, and performance. This is exactly where Corinna shines.
Sustainability is inbuilt in every thread of our fabrics. We craft our products with enduring quality to stand the test of time, creating beautiful lasting interiors that need fewer replacements. Furthermore, the inherently flame-retardant fabrics that is IMO compliant without any additional chemical treatment. Additionally, polyester is a byproduct of petroleum industry and thus causes less burden on the resources. Moreover, being composed of a single fiber type, the embroidered fabrics are also easily recyclable despite being composite fabrics.
