Crew Neighborhood – Royal Caribbean – Star of the Seas

For Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, an entire Crew Neighborhood was thoughtfully designed with crew’s daily life in mind – from dining to relaxation to training. Star of the Seas built on the success of her sister ship, Icon of the Seas, implementing “lessons learned” updates. A core distinction for the Crew Neighborhood is that finishes used in crew spaces are equivalent to those in guest spaces – a worthwhile extra cost for the longevity of the spaces and crew satisfaction.

Crew Staterooms – A priority in design efforts for Icon-class, Royal Caribbean spent years designing the best crew cabins at sea. Thought was put into every square inch to maximize this space that is so essential to the livability of the ship for our crew. Since it is their space, it was important that crew had a hand in the design – hundreds of crew gave their feedback on a prototype build of the initial design, directly impacting design enhancements to the final product. So innovative, the design earned a patent.

Crew Club House – Java Café serves up premium coffee, tea and snacks crew can enjoy in the adjacent lounge and social seating. Nearby, a “living room” nook provides the ideal space for large groups to watch movies or play video games together. A gaming room offers cubbies for smaller groups or individuals to play video games. Also integrated in the Club House is the Crew Market, which offers essentials & splurges. With over 2,300 crew onboard, a Crew Barber Shop is a must-have, and Star features a cozy shop with haircuts available to our crew (of any gender) in the heart of the neighborhood.

Crew Disco – This large venue serves as a multifunction space for crew to enjoy – a karaoke bar and disco at night becomes a lounge area during the day, complete with massage chairs. It also serves as a secondary training or an event room when needed. Premium coffee is offered here until the wee hours of the morning, an especially welcome feature for those on late shifts.

Crew Pub & Outdoor Patio – A popular night spot for our crew, the Crew Pub is features social seating and access to the outdoor patio. The Pub’s furniture and accessories make this venue feel both inviting and upscale.

Crew Windjammer – A guest-worthy dining experience for our crew with ample seating and delicious offerings.

Crew Gym – A crew favorite offering the most popular gym equipment.
