Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen – Royal Caribbean – Utopia of the Seas

The project was to provide a completely new elevated interpretation of one Royal Caribbean’s most popular branded dining venues, adapting it into a two story space, while maintaining it’s intimate character. The approximately 500 sq m restaurant is divided into two main sections, a bar/lounge/salumeria on the upper (entry) level and and main seating/kitchen on the lower level. Our team’s approach was to write a story that Giovanni himself built a restaurant that reflected his life’s story. The components of the design reflect Giovanni’s travels, what inspires him, what he’s collected along the way, and above all, his personality.
