Tillberg Design of Sweden is delighted to present the Horizon Lounge aboard Four Seasons Yachts I, for consideration in the Best Public Space category.

Located high above the sea, the Horizon Lounge is a Bohemian, adults-only hideaway reminiscent of the Mediterranean’s celebrated beach clubs – bringing together a plunge pool, bar, dining, and lounge settings with the intimate atmosphere of a private yacht club. At its heart, a sculptural circular banquette embraces the pool’s forward edge, letting guests sit close to the water while staying connected to the wider deck.

A strong connection to the sea defines the space: broad openings and carefully framed arched views dissolve the boundary between architecture and landscape, turning the changing horizon into part of the design itself. Fixed overhead canopies offer shade without closing the space in, while the sheltered bar area provides intimacy against the open deck beyond.

In between dips in the plunge pool, guests can snack on light Levantine fare – from shareable mezze and spreads to spiced kebabs and shawarma – paired with sweet Moroccan mint tea, wines from the Adriatic coast, or artfully crafted cocktails inspired by the Near East. Warm timber, woven furniture, and polished metal are grounded by rich green tones and potted citrus trees, while an intricate geometric mosaic wraps the pool, steps, and seating bases in a crafted, highly individual identity.

During Golden Hour, the lounge transforms for sunset drinks with soulful rhythms from a resident DJ; after dark, integrated lighting traces the space’s curves across the water, while an exclusive banquette invites an evening of stargazing.

More than a pool deck, the Horizon Lounge is a complete social landscape – refined yet informal, sheltered yet open to the elements, capturing the freedom and effortless glamour of life at sea.
