REI – A New Concept in Cruise Yachts
Viken Group is excited to introduce REI, a 196-metre cruise yacht concept that takes the best of the superyacht world and brings it to a new scale. Created together by Tillberg Design of Sweden, Hot Lab, and Thalia Marine, REI is all about rethinking how guests can experience life at sea.
Inspired by nature, REI is a sanctuary of contrasts: a sleek, protective shell on the outside, with warm, tactile spaces within. It’s designed as the ultimate digital detox — a place where time slows down, distractions fade, and guests can fully enjoy the sound of silence. Duplex suites with private pools and winter gardens, forward-facing infinity pools, and semi-private spas create private escapes even within shared spaces. Privacy here isn’t just a choice, it’s built into the whole experience.
Life on board is designed to feel effortless. Dedicated pathways, discreet service routes, and fluid layouts make moving between spaces seamless. Menus, activities, and entertainment evolve with time and place, so no two journeys ever feel the same.
On the outside, REI keeps a clean, minimalist profile, while the interiors focus on comfort and calm, using soft textures, natural light, and adaptive moods. Sustainability is part of the concept from the start, with room for electric, hydrogen, solar, or wind propulsion — plus a 27-metre expedition vessel powered by clean energy.
Above all, REI stands for Reduce, Engineer, Innovate — and it represents what happens when the different talents of Viken Group come together. By uniting design vision, refined elegance and engineering precision under one roof, we’ve created a concept that could only be born from true collaboration and teamwork.
