World Dream from Genting Cruises was sold under auction to Cruise Saudi in 2023. The 335-metre-long super class vessel has undergone a major refurbishment spanning 18 decks. It is believed to be one of the largest cruise ship refits ever and the first ever ship designed uniquely for the Saudi Arabian market. Due to go into operation in early 2025, SMC Design were appointed as lead architect for the design of 80% of the ship and FF&E, wayfinding, branding and art-sourcing for the entire ship. The brief was to create a luxurious family-oriented cruise ship for the Saudi Arabian market.
Cruise Saudi Aroya Cruises’ Royal Suite is positioned directly above the Captain’s Bridge, offering unparalleled forward-facing ocean views through its expansive 180º glazed façade.

Spanning a remarkable 395m², this suite is one of the largest at sea. It features two master bedrooms, two guest rooms, a spacious lounge, and dining facilities, complemented by two terraces each with a hot tub. The suite also includes its own private spa and a dedicated family room. For added convenience, it has two additional inside cabins for guests’ personal staff, and comes with round-the-clock butler service, concierge, and room service at the touch of a button.

Access to the Royal Suite is secured via a private corridor. Upon entry, guests are immediately struck by the suite’s exceptional craftsmanship and luxurious finish. The design makes the most of natural light, with a choice of materials that emphasise sophistication. The suite’s contemporary style is achieved through light-toned finishes, and natural materials like marble and limestone, and accents of Saudi Acacia wood and soft-toned leathers, all creating an atmosphere of understated elegance.

Special features include a private beauty salon equipped with a massage bed and hair salon, as well as a family room complete with computer games, a movie screen, board games, and various family activities. Each master bedroom boasts its own dressing room with access to a private hot tub.
