Deck 7 Masters of the Seas – British Pub and Deck 8 The Gin Project

The latest offering of MSC’s popular British Pub, Masters of the Seas arrives this autumn on MSC Europa. A quintessential British pub is a ritual cherished by the brits and welcomed by all others. Most pubs in the UK have been standing for centuries, gathering nik-naks from previous owners that tell a story of history and fond memories. Spanning over two decks MSC’s first onboard microbrewery offers an impressive backdrop to this double height venue. Downstairs you can enjoy a refreshing pint at the traditional bar or in the saloon style seating area made up of authentic banquette seating, stools and drinks tables.

A feature wrought iron spiral staircase takes guests to the upper level, where they can enjoy pub games and 270-degree view of the brewery.

The artwork and prop collection reflects the idea of displaying memories, with nods to brewing traditions and nautical heritage.

The rich timbers and traditional detailing of the Deck 7 Pub slowly gets stripped back to a more industrial warehouse setting as you ascend to Deck 8.

Deck 8 is also home to The Gin Project, a gin bar located within the British Pub, it provides and alternative location to enjoy a refreshing gin cocktail. The exposed brickwork and steel beams compliment the industrial microbrewery, whilst providing a contrast to the more traditional pub styling.

The narrative of memories and history continues into the gin bar with collections of vintage photographs of gin distilling, and the equipment involved. The collection of art will start conversation and offer educational insight.
