Surfside Eatery – Royal Caribbean International – Icon of the Seas

Surfside Eatery is the new casual family dining restaurant on the Boardwalk in the Surfside neighborhood. In this energetic, vibrant, fun & kid-filled part of the ship the exterior design impact for the eatery is important to announce and claim it space along the outdoor promenade. The large outdoor dining areas allow parents to oversee their kids water filled activities in leisure.
Inside the restaurant the neighborhood theme is turned up to a ‘Hang’10, with the beach & surf materials and furnishing. From the beach buggy VW van inspired food service lines to the decked-out seating banquettes the space is casual and fun and perfectly adapted for sandy feet. The beach side environment is reflected in the 3D wall graphics with accent lighting and the background colors used throughout. The surfboard accents are key design elements that define the space and distinct areas within.
