For the first time since the introduction of the Royal Promenade in 1999, the vibrant, all-time favorite debuts floor-to-ceiling ocean views on Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas. Behind the architectural and engineering feat, and front and in center in the boldly reimagined neighborhood, is The Pearl.

The Pearl is a sensational monument to engineering, design, architecture and experience. Taller than the Hollywood sign and heavier than a Boeing 737, the Pearl amazes with its scale and size. A smooth sphere and pearlescent exterior gives way through large portals to showcase a dynamic interior within. Here, thousands of kinetic tiles ebb and flow, emotionally reflecting the energies of the water just outside and the Royal Promenade below. On Icon of the Seas, the spirit of the ocean comes alive inside the Pearl; evoking serenity and wonder while pulsing and surging with excitement. Just as the heart of the ship is the Royal Promenade, the heartbeat lives within the Pearl.

And, despite the delicate appearance of its interior, the Pearl stands resolute. Harnessed with Finnish steel and strength, The Pearl is a critical structural member of the ship, supporting neighborhoods and staterooms above. The experience of this sphere dynamically changes throughout the day – evolving from day to night, popping alive with color and sound to become the life of the party. Echoing the vibes of the surrounding neighborhood, the Pearl reflects every mood, every day, and leaves guests wondering what else it has in store.

An iconic marvel, the Pearl stands as a shining testament to the over 50 years of innovation from Royal Caribbean International in creating the world’s best family vacation.
