Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSI Europe) brings the cruise ship interiors calendar to a close in style – and what a way it was to finish a brilliant year of new partnerships, new launches and an orderbook and refit schedule bursting at the seams.
Crowning the two days of CSI Europe is the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards. Taking place on the awards stage at the end of the second day, this awards not only served as a celebration of the finest minds in cruise but acted as a hurrah for all the hard work and boundless energy that goes into creating these remarkable interiors.
The order of events
The ceremony got underway with awards drinks sponsored by Trimline, and after a successful two days of networking and product sourcing, the cruise ship interiors supply chain was ready to raise their glasses. While attendees mingled, the stunning stone awards, created by awards sponsor Vistona, sat tantalisingly on a table on the stage. This year, an esteemed panel of judges and over 4,000 public votes had selected the winners.
Toby Walters, departing head of Elite Exhibitions, emceed the awards for his final year. He gave thanks and recognition to the awards’ global headline sponsor Kalmar Lighting, without whom the event could not be possible. He whipped the crowd up into energetic support of the winners, working to the crescendo of the evening when the industry’s Legends of Design were awarded.
